Process Design I & II

The training Process Design I & II provides an introduction to the features and methodology used in AutoForm-DieDesignerPlus to generate CAD quality surfaces and curves for a final stamping process design. A single part process design will be prepared which includes a Draw, Trim, and Form operation. Finally the needed tool definition and other process inputs will be completed to then validate the process by simulation as needed.

In the 2nd part of the training, two additional stamping process designs will be completed to fully explore the capability of the software for different symmetry types and multiple part designs. In addition, a part-on-Binder and a part-Preform construction will be included in these processes.

After this training, the user is able to more efficiently accomplish die process design tasks using AutoForm-DieDesignerPlus.

Audience

This training is intended for process designers, die face designers, process planners, method planners who generate process plans and active surfaces and curves using AutoForm-DieDesignerPlus. Knowledge of the AutoForm Forming interface is beneficial but not required to attend this training. A general knowledge of basic tool surfacing is suggested but not required. Attendees should have a basic understanding of stamping tool function and terminology.
