AutoForm College Days

AutoForm is offering a specialized 2-day training seminar event for college students, Trade School Students and/or post high school graduates interested in pursuing a career in the stamping industry as a stamping simulation engineer. AutoForm College Days will be held from August 5 - 6, 2024 at the AutoForm Skills Center in Troy.

Users will be exposed to AutoForm software including rapid parametrical tool development using AutoForm-DieDesigner, the cost optimized blank definition, the simulation and evaluation of the entire forming process using AutoForm-FormingSolver and the automatic determination of the optimal trim line using AutoForm-Trim.

After an orientation on stamping fundamentals, students will be introduced to hands on training for AutoForm’s DieDesigner where they will be exposed to Die Process Layout, running stamping simulations and evaluating the results for overall formability feasibility. The training will expose students to the AutoForm software through each phase of the product development process: product design – feasibility/method planning – prototype tool design – production tool design – process engineering.

Pre-requisites:

• Student must have one of the following:
  • completed sophomore year of college in engineering or manufacturing related major
  • or be enrolled in a manufacturing Trade school
  • or be in their first 2 years at a stamping facility, die shop, or sheet metal design organization
• Student must be able to and commit to attending all 2 days of the training

AutoForm College Days are complimentary to AutoForm sponsored students who meet the pre-requisites and commit to attend all 2 days. Seats are limited, reserve your spot early to ensure participation!

After applying through (application = registration), you will be notified by email if you have been accepted to attend the training. Training is on a first come first serve basis for those who meet the pre-requisites, so don’t hesitate if you are interested.
